cOMMUNICATIONs

a reflection

Let’s sit down here … on the open prairie, where we can’t see a highway or a fence. Let’s have no blankets to sit on, but feel the ground with our bodies, the earth, the yielding shrubs. Let’s have the grass for a mattress, experiencing its sharpness and its softness. Let us become like stones, plants, and trees. Let us be animals, think and feel like animals. Listen to the air. You can hear it, feel it, smell it, taste it. Woniya wakan – the holy air – which renews its breath. Woniya, woniya wakan – spirit, life, breath, renewal – it means all that. Woniya – we sit together, don’t touch, but something is there; we feel it between us, as a presence. A good way to start thinking about nature, talk about it. Rather talk to it, talk to the rivers, to the lakes, to the winds as to our relatives.  JOHN FIRE LAME DEER

As another fruitful and fascinating day begins on the SHORTCOURSE/UK Cornwall Expedition we are expediently reminded of the element of TIME in all our communications, an aspect of this contemporary age that has somehow become an obsession and to many a curse – TIME being MONEY and MONEY being TIME of course! – and one taken for granted. Would there, will there be enough?…

This illusory dimension, set at a premium amongst the capital-minded, the seventh sense which an experiential perspective continues to confound, layer upon layer of pulsating colour, beyond sight and out of mind, as the clock ticks and the tides turn and the sun and moon rise and fall I cannot feel for yesterday nor tomorrow but NOW is another matter entirely…

We are sent a message from a tall ship, setting sail in ecological orbit, responsive to its index and redolently regurgitating our breath across many oceans, fires burning as the enemy approached – we are ready on TIME (nearly) and the horseback rider is not quite fast enough, saved from a sore seat by long distance heat, sparks rising in the evening air, smuggled in exotic boxes of fantastical features – I still do not understand…

THIS TECHNOLOGY CAN ONLY PHYSICALLY EMULATE THE LATENT MEANS OF COMMUNICATION WITHIN THE UNIVERSAL ENERGETIC ECOLOGY…

To Mr Marconi, a great lover of macaroni we are told and from a family far-fetched and difficult – oh, child, was the hardship worthwhile? Obviously, in your eccentricity, you can see the invisible, the waves humbly hugging the earth, kept from space by a crackling electric ceiling, rebounded and brought back to earth – second hand objects chucked cheaply together for a conjectural conjecture – bing bong bang, bouncing energetic compositions, open-ended creativity just by chance you might hear me (GENIUS)…

And in the darkness our invisible whispers change shape, and behind sight the wind blows intangibly untangled missives, and rain knocks you for six, but I can still hear you because I am able to listen too but with a subtle machinery individually aligned to needs must – what you tell me is always altered by an affective sense of appropriety – and a desire for FEEDBACK. We are able to capture the invisible in nets and I think some of frolicsome fairies (or more rightly the ever-present pixies) as we touch each other through the darkness…

SO, COMMUNICATION IS MAYBE THE PROCESS OF ‘MOVING’ FROM ONE MOMENT TO THE NEXT including THE ENERGETIC BAGGAGE THAT IS CARRIED THROUGH WITH THAT PROCESS – and MAYBE IT WOULD BE USEFUL TO SEE IT AS A LINE TRAVELLING THROUGH AN IMMANENT SPACE, BURSTING WITH A MYRIAD OF IMPLIED POSSIBLITY, and defined by an ability to RECIEVE…

alignment (pward 2011)

And so with the deepest of apologies for my inability to communicate clearly and constructively within the defined orbital aspects of a scientific inclination – I am however an artistically inclined entity ready to trust in the process of the invisible, of the indivisible – I do not and will not undermine nor underestimate this innate ability that we have to accumatively accrue an understanding of this universal – to instinctively and impulsively rise to the next challenge, as we absorb the next breathe and blow courage and goodwill into the world…

And many thanks again to the organisers and the participants of another entertainingly enterprising day – Scilly Isles here we come!!…
