10 bundles on a car – a photographic document

The life and times of 10 bundles of sticks gathered and bound by myself and Home Grown Kids in North Devon for BESPOKE/A BUNDLE OF STICKS, a collaborative project with North Devon Site Artist and Woodlander Katy Lee and Freddie Opoku-Addaie (JAGGED ANTICS DANCE COMPANY). Some of the bundles were originally made at COURAGE COPSE CREATIVES in July 2012 for ART TREK and were then used in workshops and the performance of BESPOKE/A BUNDLE OF STICKS in November at Chulmleigh Community College (see previous post). After which they were transported on the roof rack of my car to CMR Gallery in Redruth, Cornwall, to be installed as part of the In the Dark Times Exhibition. I eventually collected them in January and took them on a journey around Cornwall and Devon, until finally returning them to their place of origin at Courage Copse where they were ritually burnt…
