early evening, wide river
dragonflies, dangle legs
stone loach splash
rocks and bubbling deep
turn smooth stone
warm resonant air
wagtail cross from bank to bank and back
in tall trees long-tailed tits titter
attentive to possibilities of passing otter
and dart of flashing electric blue
to perch alert
to fish
a haze of gnats drift
the dragon-flies
leaves twitch and shimmer
growing fast
while they can, where they can
before the muddy flood of winter
my perception of time changes
absorbed within and without
rested
refreshed
connected
empowered through you

My thoughts meandering alongside this poem. Captures nature and our connection beautifully. Thanks for sharing.
